As you are members of the faculty, I defer to your judgment of the "appropriate" grading distribution for the classes you teach. But, for what it's worth, I'll be getting regular reports from the CSUSB Office of Institutional Research about the grading distribution in SSCI 306 classes. I would only discuss grades with individual instructors if the grading was really wacky (subjectively defined by me).
