Roadmap to Graduation

This page provides a set of tables showing a suggested sequence of courses toward completion of a B.A. in Economics. The student will find a suggested sequence of courses for each of the four tracks leading toward a B.A. in Economics: Economics, Political Economy, Applied Economics, and Mathematical Economics. The tables are advisory and students are under no obligation to take the courses in the sequence suggested. The student must still consult the CSUSB Bulletin of Courses and PAWS to ensure all the requirements toward completion of the degree have been met.

There are six tables for each of the four tracks. Three of these tables are for freshmen planning to obtain their degree in either four, five or six years. The other three tables are for students transferring to CSUSB at the start of their junior year after having completed elsewhere: their lower division General Education requirements, their lower division Economics requirements, and eight units of free electives. These latter three tables are for student planning to obtain their degree in either two, three or four years after having transferred to CSUSB.
